Life Before Thomas Jefferson High School
I was born in raised in Minot, ND before moving to Denver in 2001. I worked as a telecommunications technician for several years before going back to school to earn my teaching degree. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal at TJ, I worked at Bruce Randolph School in NE Denver where I taught Social Studies, served on the Collaborative School Committee and was the Teacher Representative to the School Leadership Team. I also served as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and later became the Athletic Director.
My wife Kimberly and I have a five year old son who will be starting Kindergarten this year in DPS. Away from work I enjoy spending time with my best friend, my son Lukas. My hobbies include riding my road bike, BBQ’ing on my Big Green Egg, and of course spending considerable time feeding my baseball addiction. 2018/19 will be my seventh year as a proud member of the Spartan Family.
